So just when I thought I had it narrowed down THIS winter gives me pause. Do I really want to go back to that? Although Providence, temperature wise, is basically what I grew up with so it wouldn't be completely unthinkable.
Anyway, I've decided to take a second look at Sacramento as it seems like it's similar to Providence in that it's near lots of great stuff while not being a complete ghost town.
Anybody visited/lived in both?
Mostly interested in the living in the core/downtown or very close. So as far as Sac goes this probably means Midtown.
In these areas:
* Food
* Music
* Dating
* Nightlife
* Walkability
* Crime
* Culture/diversity
PS. I'm familiar with Portland, Pittsburgh, and Columbus if that helps to make comparisons. Slightly less so on Minneapolis (but it was one place I was looking at before I decided it was just too cold).
