Personally I think Philly's the gold standard for arts and culture in the U.S. Center City's offerings easily outclasses Manhattan in QUALITY, even though Midtown has a larger mass.
Just finished reading it and I'm not impressed. After New York City the rest of the cities fall pretty far when it comes to arts/culture. Philadelphia doesn't stand out. This thread only highlights how superior New York City is to Philadelphia in arts/culture.
Wow. Philadelphia doesn't even come close. Several cities in the U.S. rank higher than Philadelphia in arts/culture.
Mehhhhh. Philadelphia MAY be second after NYC in the arts. But NYC is miles ahead of of any other city in the US so this really isn't even a comparison.
