I'm from the TC's so I'm a little biased toward that region. I really liked Atlanta the couple times I visited. Mpls and Atlanta are similar as they had leaders in the past who were determined not to let their locations define them and as a result both places grew to what they are today. I like how Atlanta is one of the few places in the US to have a large black middle class and a fairly large black upper middle to wealthy class. I wish Mpls had some of this.

I have lived in all three places so it is an easy comparison.

1)Minneapolis - hope to move back there someday,wish the taxes were lower.

2)Atlanta - great place, horrible infrastructure especially outside the 285 perimeter.

3)San Francisco - over crowded,over priced and over taxed!

For me:

1. San Fran
2. Minneapolis
3. Atlanta

Minneapolis is a great, great area.. but San Fran is a step above it. Atlanta's not bad either but I personally like Minneapolis a bit more (winters in Minnesota are beautiful but cold and the weather in the summer while it can be humid as **** is still a little more manageable than Atlanta). Food in Atlanta might be a little step above Minneapolis at this point though.
