I registered just to post - how are we snobby? Most people in SF are middle-class normal people. Asians, immigrants. Cities are NOT snobby because cities are large and diverse. If you mean cities with MOST snobby people then it's LA, NY, Chicago, blah...ranked by population. There are many snooty *suburbs* [and I think NYC or Boston burbs would win that..sorry] but San Francisco is not snobby.

Stupid generalizations make me sick!!

Of course these are broad generalizations, but SF has more than its fair share of very opinionated, entitled folks willing to lecture others.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but let's be real. SF is the city of smug eco-consciousness, artisanal coffeehouses and the like. It isn't exactly a Joe + Mary sixpack kind of town.

LOL And I wonder what s/he meant with the middle class part....San Francisco or the entire Bay Area? Because it seems what's left of the middle class in SF are few and far between with most already relocating to different parts of the Bay because SF city is becoming too expensive.

For City Data, the current answer would be the Bay Area, but let's not forget that posters don't necessarily reflect the views of your typical local. Many real life Bay Area residents are actually considerably down-to-earth.

I unfortunately have to say the same is somewhat true for New Orleans, on here. In reality, New Orleanians are very lovable and unassuming, but their posters can be rather pretentious.

I WAS a local and share most of the views/traits that define the Bay Area, I found the sameness of my fellow locals to be redundant and left for a more objective way of life

Doesn't the fact that you were googling sf as snobby somewhat self reflexive on the snobbyness, then end it by SF is not snobby, and your name is SFdon...
