Bakersfield in the same league with Florida? Oh no, Florida is far better. Bakersfield may be a dry heat, but it makes Gulf Coast summers look like a cakewalk.

Same here, especially if you lump Sarasota/Bradenton in with the mix as well.

Living in Ft. Lauderdale was a horrible experience for me.
