All of those stores are found anywhere USA. I didn't know JC Penney's was still in business, don't they compete with K-Mart these days?
Now that's hilarious.

Chicago had 3 H&M's before Dallas even knew what it was.

Nothing & I repeat nothing in Dallas can compare to the Magnificent Mile.

^^^grapico was using sarcasm directed at someone else. He wasn't actually saying that Dallas truly had better shopping than SF or Chicago.

If were talking about upscale shopping, yes it does. Overall, Chicago has more urban shopping districts of course, Dallas has more mall based stuff.

WAIT A MINUTE….you said (in a Dallas vs. Houston shopping thread) that H&M was a glorified Old Navy. All because Dallas was getting them before Houston.

So when it has to do with Dallas vs. Houston, H&M is garbage. But when you can use it against Dallas, its important? Weak.

Also, Dallas can be grouped with Atlanta when it comes to fashion. Not Houston. Houston is far behind both. Shopping wise, Dallas is best of the three but Atlanta is close.

Also, if this is a contest of urban shopping districts, the thread should be renamed. As far as the question goes, a shopping mall is just as good as an urban district. The stores are the same.

Wrong Atlanta is ranked lower than NYC, LA, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Vegas, Boston, Austin, Chicago as fashion capital. Look it up before you boost Atlanta you Atlantan. http://www.languagemonitor.com/fashi...shion-capital/

Worlds 55 fashion cities 9th annual ranking

I don't think Houston is that far behind Atlanta. But neither are part of the thread though so I won't go on.

SF for independent eclectic boutiques...interesting urban shopping districts

Dallas certainly for suburban-style shopping malls

Dallas has great shopping.

I had guest in from St Louis and Atlanta, we were walking around Michigan avenue and State street in downtown Chicago and both made the comment that the stores are the same as they are everywhere else. Like whats been mentioned the shopping experience is unique in places like San Francisco and Chicago but the stores are the same.

I've always been impressed by how classy the women dress in places like Dallas, Houston and Atlanta.

Not so sure about that... well, maybe more so in Chicago and SF... but growing boutiques there... tons of "only in here" or independent high end places and singular fashion designers in LA and NYC.
