If you don't expect or demand that OKC be a world class or international city then you should be fine here. OKC still has some small townishness to it that is completely lost in the largest rung of cities in the US. Some people like that and others don't.

I appreciate not having to worry to much about traffic snarls and accordion pile ups and not having to worry about finding a parking place like are issues in bigger towns. However if you are looking for the finest in Madagascarian cuisine or a lot of hoity toity stuff, it won't be up to snuff.

True OKC is far from world class. Not much in the way of things to do here. Very small town feel (spread out) and nothing special at all. But you'll like the no traffic part and finding parking. People will be friendly at first, but then judge you and won't invite you into their little circle. You'll become an expert on religion, weather, and OU football. There are some good restaurants, but you have to look. The grocery stores aren't great. Oh, if you don't like high winds, you'll get frustrated. Lastly, be glad you're married and not single if you have to move here.

Default OKC Thunder Vs. Houston Rockets.........

OKC Thunder Vs. Houston Rockets.........if they meet in the western conference playoff 2015 there's a
great probability that Houston could take the series , but I seriously think that's it a pipe dream.

Yes! That will be the perfect comparison. Ardmore will win by a nose. LOL Seriously, how can anyone think OKC is in competition with Houston?

Yeah, lol... Houston is an absolute monster right now. I believe Houston is poised to surpass Chicago in city population by the end of the decade.

OKC might be Houston's little brother, but one brother is super-star, nuclear physicist, astronaut, athlete and the other is the one who got a job at being a cashier at Walmart... which one is OKC? lol... not trying to knock down OKC or make Houston a picture perfect city, but there is really no comparison.

And that's why I commented. I don't think they are in the same family and I don't think Oklahoma City even entertains a thought of yearning to be similar to Houston or any other gargantuan metropolis. The powers that be in OKC have a bit more sense, plus, I've not heard anyone wishing to mimic Houston. If OKC is to be compared to another city, at least go with a place having similar population.

Obviously, the city that OKC most resembles is Fort Worth. OKC is generally what one should expect when you have a huge center of commerce like DFW down the road. Actually though, OKC is as similar to Wichita as it is to Dallas.
