Greensboro. However if you like being near a big city Atlanta is only an hour away.
Greensboro has a nicer infrastructire of facilities. and its feels bigger.
Also has a nicer and more vibrant downtown. Not like a big city but more than Macon.

Macon is a sleeping giant. Lots of good things are starting to happen in Macon. In 15-20 years it will be a completely different city.

Greensboro is a lovely little city. But I also agree that with Georgia's largest historic district, Macon has a mountain of potential.

Columbus too if they can clean up the city and cut the crime.

+1 for G'boro as of 2014.

In some ways, the gap gets even larger. Durham wins that matchup too.

I've heard a few things going on in Macon, but not lots. Maybe you have good sources? I hope you're right. Macon has tons of potential and I hope the proposed commuter rail gets going sooner than later (perhaps that is wishful thinking in Georgia).

Wouldn't that title go to Savannah?
