First a couple of pics I took of Orlando last week:

This is pretty close though. While I think Orlando is very underrated, I think I would prefer Charlotte over Orlando.

Great pics kmco and OrlFlaUsa! Looks like the polls are pretty much tied between both cities right now.

Orlando is actually one of fastest growing cities in the country, so you are hence incorrect, LOTS of people are moving to Orlando, it is one of the top cities for relocation. (see articles below)

Orlando, Fla. - In Photos: America's Fastest-Growing Cities 2014 - Forbes
Orlando, Fla. - 10 fastest growing cities - CNNMoney

Urban cores/downtowns are being compared but that is a big part of what makes a city, of course it is not the only factor but it is a notable factor.

I hate posts like this. So delusional. You wouldn't know how many people are moving from Charlotte to Orlando or from Orlando to Charlotte.

Orlando is only relevant because of Disney World anyways.

I've lived in both. in Orlando, you rarely, if ever will meet someone who moved to Orlando FROM Charlotte. On the other hand, you meet people in Charlotte from FL ALL OF THE TIME, and many are from FL.

this is a Charlotte/Orlando thread... I understand that many, many people are moving to Orlando from NY/NJ, Puerto Rico and Haiti. But that's not really what this topic is about.

I'm positive you don't know each and every 4,603,204 people that live in both and where they came from. My original comment still stands.

If you have lived in both places as I have, you know that Floridians move to NC as fast as NY'ers move to FL. There's no NC to FL wave. Floridians dont move to NY, NY'ers move to FL.

If you want me to find data I could. I can guarantee you that ppl are leaving FL for NC, not the other way around. Places like Charlotte, Asheville and Raleigh are attracting ppl from FL each and every minute. Again, theres no NC to FL migration.
