Which city have you found, once you can actually find good street parking, to be the hardest to parallel park? Accounting for hills, pedestrians, other cars, narrow streets, etc...

Parallel parking is fairly easy, but these factors can throw one off one's game. Any general parking nightmares are welcome, as well.

My vote goes to Philly. Never have I had to park on such a narrow street with someone right on my butt. Think it was around 2nd and Market. Had to give it 3 tries, holding up traffic lol. Though I'm sure West Coasters have some hill stories to share-- SF and Seattle look beastly.

SF's steepest hills either don't have parking, or they have perpendicular/angled parking.

My vote goes to Philly or Boston, or NYC for sheer difficulty of finding an on-street space.

Parallel parking in an "alley street" in South Philadelphia would make some cry.

I'm going with the Big Apple, NYC.

I live in a big city, Toronto.
I have also lived in other big cities.

Only north american city that intimidates me in terms of driving and parking is NYC.

This April I drove to Washington, DC
I left my house at 7am and was at my hotel just outside DC in Fredericksburg by 3pm.
Nice easy drive.
I drove all over Washington, DC downtown, parking was no problem, piece of cake.

I would not even attempt to drive into NYC.
Years ago after visiting Atlantic City I drove through NYC, never again, yikes.
Other times I've flown, or once by AMTRAK from Depew Station near Buffalo, NY to NYC.

That looks fun! If someone was behind you, even better!

As far as NYC, I've had some parking difficulties in finding street parking moreso than actually parking. Either someone leaves not enough space or it's a fire hydrant has been my experience. Although I did have someone nearly clip me near 225th and Broadway.

Philadelphia, NYC, and San Francisco. They are really packed dense cities, and SFO's hills makes it hard to park. LA probably wouldn't get too much of this problem; it is spread out and there are plenty of parking places.
