The skyline of Los Angeles grew very fast from 1970 to about 1990. The LA skyline finally began to grow again in recent years with the addtion of new residential towers and the new 54-story LA Live Hotel/Condos (almost complete).

Miami's skyline has grown VERY FAST over the last decade.

LA's skyline has the mountains and Miami has Biscayne Bay.

Once the economy stablizes it will be interesting to see how both skylines grow.

Vote for the one you like the best and maybe even say why......???

LA only has to fill out a bit. This will come with time. Then it will be sick. Mountains give it a great backdrop.

That said. I like Miami's also, though it is lacking in height and has no backdrop, however it does have the Atlantic.

Very close.

That's a really lousy picture of the Miami skyline. Unfair. Try this one instead.

Miami has more buildings. LA has a small skyline for a city of nearly 4 million which is 10 times that of Miami's.

Obviously I will put my vote for my home town. But for a city the size of LA it has a very unimpressive skyline. I have not seen a large amount of change. Miami skyline is completley diffferent than it was 3 years ago. Also I like water over mountains and LA always has all that smog while Miami has some of the cleanest air out of the major cities in the world.
