Seattle has 30 plus less sunny days than the others... And,if you haven't spent longer than a month in rainy, dreary, weather...it could be the reasonNOT to choose WA.
Really? I used public transit in both Salt Lake City and Seattle, and both seemed more than adequate. I mean, SLC and Seattle aren't up there with the world's best as far as access and reliability, but they seem to be enough for what I need.
Also, I'm curious as to what makes Boise "backwater." Care to elaborate?
Seattle and Denver are both great. However, Seattle has a lot of cloudy and "dreary" weather. Some people love it. But if you like sunny days and less cloudiness, that may put Denver ahead of Seattle for you.
My personal choice would be Denver. Although, admittedly it is my favorite city in the US, so I may be a bit biased. It is more diverse, less expensive, has better weather, and is more centrally located
Boise sure was a backwater when I lived there in the 80s. But it's a little more diverse and worldly than it was then. Tech and BSU are related to that. Of course nothing like the other cities on this list, particularly Seattle which gets more immigrants and the other three put together.
I don't think the most ardent Denver homer would say that.
