Where I live we fall into the "little snow" category most winters, but this year there was absolutely no snow and it made me sad.

I'd actually prefer a snowy climate as I love winter but then again I don't drive and I can see how snow could be frustrating to people who commute by car. I think even if I did drive I'd still want a little though, like maybe 20" a year.

I agree with you, but I like 25" or more, Chicago's average is like 30 so im used to it, and enjoy it!

Philly's average is 20 inches, which would be nice if we got consistently but it seems our Winters either see 30 inches+ or almost none at all haha.

For example the 2011-2012 season saw 4 inches of snow but the 2010-2011 season saw 44 inches (8th snowiest season on record).

In a perfect world I would take snow during the holiday season. The day after New Years I wouldn't want to see anymore. We had a few flurry here and there this year but nothing like last year's apocalypse. Here in Atlanta 2 inches of snow can cause everything to shutdown.

I've lived in areas with no snow (FL), areas with a little snow (NC, WA) and areas with a ton of snow (CO). The winner, in my opinion? Areas with a little snow, but with a lot of snow nearby.

I always wished for tons of snow where I live, but after winter in the mountains of Western CO where several feet were on the ground from Thanksgiving though April, I've changed my tune a little bit. As much as I love seeing the white stuff, having to deal with it all the time makes it kind of a pain in the butt. It can be fun when it's an infrequent, isolated event, and I do like to be able to see it when I want (i.e. driving to the mountains), but it can get old when encountered every day.

I would say a little snow, but that means it's generally cold enough to do so. So I went with no snow and the warmer temperatures.

I voted no snow but I actually like a little bit but tire of the winter far too soon.

If I lived in an area that received snow, I would only want it during the holidays. For example, I could tolerate a little bit of snow from the end of November/early December increasing to wintery weather through the holidays up until a couple of days after the new year. Then I would want it gone.

Since I live in Phoenix (one of the hottest cities in the country), we rarely see snow; however, we are only about 2.5 hours from Flagstaff which is one of the snowiest places in the country.

I ideally like to see 1-3 inches of fluffy snow annually. Makes for nice photo-ops. Growing up in the DMV, I've witnessed enough heavy snowstorms to get it out of my system for a lifetime.
