Sooo excited to see the white stuff! How much did you all get where you are? I know, I know, chances are no one else here is happy to see it....but I am!!!

We got about 4-5 inches here in SW Bourbon County! The perfect amount! I'm off to take pictures!

We got about a half inch maybe little more in Grant County. But Northern KY didn't get any. I drove home last night and didn't see snow till I got home. I am one who doesn't like snow, but I can appreciate the beauty of a fresh snow fall.

I love snow too (well sometimes!) - we got 2 - 4 inches in Lexington.
Back in the seventies we got like a foot and a half of snow one year, then 2 feet in another year - would love to see that again! (Ofcourse, it virtually shut the whole place down, but it was so beautiful....I was in Louisville back then, not sure if Lexington got that much or not.) <My Dad had chains on his pick up truck, so we were one of the lucky ones, that were able to get out..

Went around us down this way. Got a few flurries but nothing stuck. I'm ready for enough snow to reach the kneecaps of a giraffe, standing on his head. lol

They didn't get any snow in Owensboro but a cousin that lives south of there in Ohio County, Beaver Dam, they got about 3 inches. It seemed the snow bands kinda hovered across the south and central portion of the state, south of Louisville I think....

yeah it doesn't stick for very long does it? However I skyped with mom last night and we were talking family and she began to tell me about a big blizzard in Kentucky back in the 70s' that was pretty bad. She said when she was a kid growing up in Kentucky in the 50's, they didn't always get big snows every year, but when they did they were BIG snows.....according to mom.

We got some good snow this time. Sunday night into Monday we got anywhere from 6" here in Mayfield to 10" in Paducah then we got a couple more inches last night. Now we're expecting wind chills down to -20 during the day tomorrow.
