It comes down to Chicago having more foot traffic overall given that it's a larger city as well as more foot traffic in the CBD at 5pm but SF having a more tightly-packed and consistent network of busy pedestrian streets. A large part of Boston is on the same level as Chicago and SF, but there is also a lot of the city that is relatively dead pedestrian-wise
I’m just going to bump up this old thread that was linked in the Chicago vs. Toronto thread since that one is turning into this.
And I think there are definitely more possible candidates than just Chicago or Toronto. San Francisco is the first one that came to my mind tbh
