SFs more desirable than NYC because it has better jobs, weather, and scenery and in a desirable spot for the new world economy. California has the 3rd biggest billionaire population in the world after US and China all thanks to SF.
Soooo what are you trying to say? SF is more important than NYC now?

NYC is far richer and more desirable than SF. Not really worth debating objective facts.

Economic growth in NYC was much higher pre-9-11 than post 9-11, so there goes that claim.

Giuliani was in office years before 9-11, so there goes yet another claim.

NYC "used" the greatest terrorist attack in history to make a comeback. Ah, the things one learns at C-D!

Who knew you revitalize cities by killing thousands, destroying much of the real estate, and creating mass terror?

CvC hates suburbs and cars but loves density and public transit. NYC has long heritage of embodying the latter. This is why it always wins.

I see no evidence that C-D "hates suburbs and cars". There are plenty of suburbs and cars in the NYC region.

Lol

I've been on here for years. I know. This subforum has a fetish for density and rail. Post a thread where a suburban city received more votes than an urban city. You can't because there are none.

There's plenty of evidence that many posters on the C-D forum hate suburbs and cars. It probably wouldn't take long to find a treasure trove of suburb-bashing, car-hating posts.
