Wasn't there some thread where some dude claimed LA was about to get three NFL franchises for next year, and got all mad when people were skeptical? Whatever happened to him?
Absolutely no way, much in the same vein as a place like Las Vegas. The reason Florida pro-sports franchises struggle whether winning or not is due to resident economics. The FL metro areas are at the bottom of indexes such as household income and more importantly disposable income among the major metro areas in the country, and Orlando is dead last. Filling a stadium with 60K-70K people paying $75 a ticket isn't happening here and any investment group (along with the NFL) would see that.

It looks like LA is most likely going to get the Chargers which still leaves us at 32. Expansion would most likely have to go with 2 or 4 additions to keep scheduling and conferences/divisions somewhat orderly. I don't see NFL owners giving London a green light given the obvious cost disadvantage to the teams in that division/conference as well as logistics and player fatigue. While Jerry Jones is still alive I don't see another Texas franchise happening, he has too much pull within the league and likes to be the center of the Texas universe. Salt Lake City is a great market for small arena sports like the NBA or NHL but too small of a metro to attract 60K + regularly in my opinion. From what I can gather there isn't much interest in Portland for a franchise and like SLC think it could be challenged to maintain attendance. The one area that makes the most sense is somewhere within the 400 mile gap between Charlotte and Washington DC which has the population/continued growth, density, economic viability and desire for pro sports. I would say either Raleigh/Durham or Richmond would be the frontrunners despite the Hampton Roads area being larger (it's too transient and lacking in geographic allegiance).
LA , Portland and even San Antonio all seem like viable options to be next to get a NFL team and as for the other two locations I say no way. Salt Lake City has too much of a small population in the city proper to support a pro football team and as for London the logistics would be too horrid. I don't mind some of our teams going over to play there annually but the NFL needs to stay in the Lower 48 states. This is an American league and it needs to remain as such. Plus there are several American cities that don't have a NFL team but have the population base to support one. The league's two conferences are named the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference not the International Football Conference.
Even though Orlando is gaining population left and right I believe it will be a hard sell to get a NFL team. It is too close to Tampa Bay for the NFC and the AFC already has two AFC teams =Jacksonville and Miami.
