As previously stated the politics of the NFL aren't going to allow for another Texas team to upstage/compete with the Cowboys. Los Angeles has proven repeatedly to be the opposite of viable with prior NFL franchises and while Portland may seem to have potential with a city population of 600K it does have a significant demographic not known to be pro sports-supportive (artsy-bohemian) and would wonder how they would plan to stay lucrative. Yes, the Trail Blazers do well in Portland with attendance averages around 19K a game (Top 10 in the NBA) but remember the needed NFL numbers....60K-70K or more per game on average in Portland?? I don't see it.

Tampa Bay

Orlando (NBA, MLS)

Oklahoma City maybe? The OKC and Tulsa markets probably would be large enough to support a team.

Oklahoma is like Alabama which is all about college football.

Plus Oklahoma is full of Cowboys fans. Oklahoma City isn't getting a football team for the same reason San Antonio won't get one: Jerry Jones.

LA has the best chance. Already looks like the Rams' owner Kroenke has purchased land in Inglewood, and the Chargers also look like they may move up the 5. LA may go from having zero teams to 2.

Some have said SLC will not land the NFL due to Sunday being a very important day of the week for the LDS Church. This could be true, however, it should be noted that Utah as a whole is less than 65% LDS, and Salt Lake County is less than 55% LDS.

The obvious answer here is Los Angeles, even though it has already failed time and time again...

The London idea is interesting, but I wonder how this might effect scheduling. Some early morning TV games for sure, but would most teams balk at this as it would be something like 3 AM to their body clocks. I think a better idea, if it came to it, would to play the London games at night and run them in the US in the regular daytime windows.
