^The Bay Area over-stretched (imo) CSA has 2 million more people than South Florida.... and it only has 13 (actually 12 or even less) more with most being barely above your arbitrary 5,000 cutoff with 2 million more people? So basically Miami has more ethnic groups per capita by a good margin, which living in the Bay Area makes sense, especially in regards to the 2.3 million from Mexico and China. Also Miami and the Bay Area have the same amount 100,000 plus and Miami has more 50,000 communities even with the Bay Area having 2 million more people. Wow! Also quickly going over why did you put Hmong twice for the Bay Area and also gets two groups Spaniards and Spanish? No way does the Bay Area have larger Iberian communities Miami has direct flights to Madrid/Barcelona and Lisbon among many other European cities the Bay Area lacks. Makes me suspect of your data.

More ethnic groups per capita.
That's a first.
"Over stretched "

Whatever that means.

There is no point to debate, the Bay Area is not more international. I'm more acquainted with both cities, and I actually have clients in San Francisco. Whenever they come to Miami they remark, what everyone remarks - that this city feels so different than other US cities. Feels almost Latin American.

California homers will be California homers - in all relevant metrics the Bay Area comes up short (foreign born population, business connections, and tourist numbers).

We can have fun talking about 5,000 Pacific Islanders as if that changes anything.

Yeah, we meet the criteria-if Miami were a strong enough job market it would add more places as well, good luck with that.

Hahahahaha no these are just the way that people reported themselves and this isnt all groups because for example it doesnt include people who identify themselves African Americans and people who dont report ancestry either.

Otherwise, are you saying that I should feel bad about having 2 million wealthy WASPs? LOL Surprisingly I dont.

hey, Im willing to congratulate you on having a higher per capita of persons from Latin America and the Caribbean. Felicidades Chicos.

Well, you can send your suspicions off to the Census Bureau, but as far as Portuguese, the Bay Area definitely has more than Miami---that community goes back over a century here. You just dont know.

Also, as far as Spain and Spaniards-that's how people answered the form.

In the meantime, speaking of flights, arent you glad I was able to put together that list of flights to World's Top 10 Alpha Cities:

Yeah, they are quite bizarre. Instead of talking up their strengths(in this case in Latin America and the Caribbean), they are talking out of their arse about Asians. What a joke.

The Bay Area has 14 times more Asians than South Florida. Get over it.
