San Diego is Arizona Beach. Camo-clad neo-con bros in their big trucks, who only watch 'Merican sports like baseball and football. They're pretty good at enslaving marine mammals and forcing them to do tricks for braindead tourists, though.
Funny how it even manages to be significantly less dense than San Jose.
However, I do appreciate how that place consistently demonstrates that Republicans can bankrupt a city as well as any Democrat. Thanks for blowing up that Fox News talking point, San Diego.
Having lived in Arizona for a while and having spent a fair amount of time in San Diego...this post is incredibly hilarious to me and not too far off. And this is coming from someone who really likes certain aspects of San Diego and thinks it offers a lot as a city.
Basically everything outside of SF is boring suburbia, and SF isn't even that fun. Some towns have a little downtown (Burlingame, Palo Alto, Mountain View, San Mateo, San Rafael, Novato, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton) but they're not really anything special or significant in comparison to the urban centers of other suburbs. SJ is one of the most boring places I've ever been to. People there rave about Santana Row and it's just an overpriced outdoor shopping mall no different than The Grove or Americana in LA.
Oakland and Berkeley are just outside of SF. Are they boring suburbia?
