Virginia stradles the Northeast and the South. NOVA is definitely a Northeastern culture similar to New Jersey and New York due to the transplants while many other parts of Virginia are still very Southern.

Texas is a mix of Southwest and South while the border areas are culturally Mexican.

Florida is Southern in North Florida and the Panhandle while South Florida is a mix of the Northeastern and Latin American cultures.

West Virginia is culturally southern in the southern parts and culturally northern in the northern parts though its more of the Ohio/western PA kind of North vs the New Jersey/ NY kind of north in areas like Fairmont, Morgantown, Wheeling etc.
