I voted for Denver. I prefer the west and the mountains and skiing. I've never been to Pittsburg but would love to visit. It looks gorgeous as well and has a really cool historic urban look to it.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Houston and actually like it quite a bit. Very international, awesome variety of food and a great bar scene.

I will say this though, Of all the top ten cities or metros (either or)by population I would rank Houston last as a "city" Ok, maybe second to last behind Phoenix.

Of the top ten cities or metros to visit I would rank it dead last. If you go outside the top ten it drops even more because there are plenty of smaller cities that have more stuff to do and see.

Houston can be a great place to live. It's cosmopolitan and offers all the same big city stuff that most big cities offer. (museums, sports teams, a skyline) but its big selling points are that it is inexpensive and has great food, lots of diversity.

Houston is changing and the above may not always be the case, but for the #4 city it is kinda "boring"

When you go to Houston you have two real options for entertainment in my opinion, eating and Drinking. Houston does have gorgeous women too I will add.

Pittsburgh is awesome in its way. It has some good urban districts and the green hills/valleys/ravines/rivers thing, which makes the massive decline look ok somehow. The urban core is starting to see a decent amount of investment.

Denver would be easy. It doesn't stand out, but it's decent in many ways.

Houston would be last. The two biggest nails for me would be the lack of urbanity in what exists and what's getting built/planned and the weather. Being near the coast would help but that's not enough.

I mean "decent" in that it's a small fraction of the boomtowns' infill booms, though it is good by Pittsburgh standards.

Why did Pittsburgh get more votes than Huston?

Sophie's Choice of Houston, would choose Denver if it had warmer weather, but I just can't do cold winters.

quality of life: Houston. COL in Denver is getting worse and worse.
nightlife: Draw. Probably Houston with more people. Denver feels like a small town sometimes.
scenery: Denver
daytime activities/events: Denver
shopping/entertainment venues: Houston
overall vibe: Houston. The vibe in Denver has been weird since I got here.
