I can't think of too many videos actually filmed on the streets of Atlanta. That was more the case in the 90s/early 00s with Goodie Mobb and Outkast, but we haven't see too many shots of the city since Atlanta became a powerhouse. NYC by comparison has many many more.

Shooting videos around the way is the norm today. I will admit that shooting videos in clubs, malls, mansions, etc are probably just as common.
Who started a sound, and who popularized it is completely different. Memphis started buck music, Atlanta started crunk, buck seems to be a lot darker than crunk. They're similar, but also clearly distinguishable.
Yeah I do not agree. You knew what the crunk sound was based off of and Memphis get buck/crunk sound was way darker than anything that came from Atlanta.

I don't think videos are really the norm anymore. It's not like the 80s and 90s where most people would watch videos all day. I don't think MTV even shows music videos anymore.
I still remember watching the "World Premiere" of the Triumph video with Kurt Loder. Still the dopest song without a hook to ever come out.

I gotta stop you there. As I've stated before, ATL had a much more distinct sound with the Dungeon Family, which is more laid back funk. Then Lil John in the early 2000s; Lil john's beats were so popular because as frequently as it was heard, they were mostly used by Atlanta artist. Then you had Jazzy Pha, which was similar to the Dungeon Family. Actually back then, Atlanta had a very distinct sound; today, however, everywhere else is adopting Atlanta's sound, so it doesn't seem as unique anymore. It goes to show how influential Atlanta has become.

ATL is coming out with so much music right now compared to NYC, that less than half of the videos could show ATL's skyline, and it will still triple the number of videos showing NYC.
ATL took rap from NYC, now it has taken movies from Hollywood.
