Atlanta is integrated in and around Gwinnett but segregated throughout the rest of the metro area. Im not qualified to speak on Nashville so Im not voting.

This is a true statement as far as Metro Atlanta is concerned, Gwinnett county is the most integrated county in the north Georgia area hands down. As far as other counties and city wise the City of Atlanta is definitely segregated compared to Nashville.

I think its about the same Nashville is consolidated with Davidson County.
The problem is ,Atlanta boundaries are a third the size of Nashville. All of Nashville's diversity is basically in Davidson County. Its not like Atlanta where you have several counties with large integrated communities.'Not to mention,Gwinnett physically is a very large county by itself.
Just across the border from Gwinett in Dekalb County are the cities of Doraville and Chamblee. These communities are EXTREMELY integrated ann diverse.
Give me ANY city in ALL of TN that are as diverse?Clarkston.I believe it is the most diverse city in the South its said.
In my neighborhood in the Southern burbs of Atlanta its a black white,Vietnamese mainly but mt next door neighbor is Pakistani, and there is more than one interracial couple in the neighborhood as well
Gwinnett is the most diverse and integrated but not the only county in the metro Atlanta area.Clayton County believe it or not is pretty diverse and very integrated although parts of it are very black like Riverdale, other parts like Forest Park,Morrow,Jonesboro,Rex,etc are very diverse and integrated
Nashville metro isnt as diverse and not as integrated as the overall Atlanta metro.Even if the actual city of Nashville is slightly more diverse,it has doesnt have anything in the size or scope of Atlanta's vast integrated neighborhoods.
The biggest difference is that Nashville unlike Atlanta has no majority minority counties in its metro. It has a much larger white population..Many of its counties have much higher white populations than most counties in the Atlanta metro
This has Nashville as the 6th most segregated city in America. Its 3 years old but cant see how things have changed so drastically even with all the growth.

Don't think being majority white has anything to do with being more intergrated. I do agree though that Nashville's consolidated government has a lot to do with this. Look at metro Atlanta counties like Cherokee, Forsyth and Coweta which are highly white..Not to mention if we are talking Metros as a whole all Metros are Majority white in the US besides say Memphis which is majority black. Seattle and Denver seem to be whiter than Nashville but doesn't seem to catch half the flack or stereo type...I get the image you are trying to create which is false is that Nashville is this all white city when there is a High percentage of Blacks,Hispanics, Kurdish, etc. There are areas of Nashville that are comparable to Decatur and Clarkston say like Antioch and you couldn't have been in the Nolensville Pike area for you make those assumptions.. I am black and live in Atlanta, been here
for years and go to Nashville all the time and can tell the difference..

You're pulling all the punches but it doesn't work buddy, I'm black as well,, smh.. Go see for you self Your graft doesn't tell the true story and Nashville is growing too fast just as Atlanta not to mention genterification has changed that dynamic big time I'm sure changing a lot of the outer Davidson Country mixed
