Just read that so far in LA County 42 homeless people have been victims of homicide this year. I can't find it broken down by city, but since a little over half of the homeless people in LA County squat somewhere in the city, probably 20-35 of those homicides were in the city.
In all but a few cases, the perpetrator is also homeless. Since the homeless population in the county is estimated at about 59,000; the homeless homicide rate for the county is somewhere around 70/100,000.
For the city, the 0.5% of the population that is homeless has comitted roughly 20% of the city's homicides.

I'd imagine, I wouldt be surprised. It's hard being homeless, strung out and mentally ill.
Labor Day weekend is usually when local media in Cleveland starts posting numbers once the city hits 100. It has been a bad week with at least 5 but still no YTD numbers so guessing the city is doing better than recent years (still probably 80 plus).
In other Northeast Ohio cities, saw Canton just had its 10th (population 70,000).
Akron (200,000) had another the other day. Seems like this has been a bad year so guessing it was around no. 30 for the year.
Youngstown (64,000) is at least at 15. It had been getting better but think it was around 25 last year and probably gets to over 20 again this year. Per capita not a good number but still way better than the 90s when it the numbers were in the 50s and 60s and the rate was around 60-70 per 100k.
Northeast Ohio numbers are hard to come by so outside of Canton (their paper reported the number) all are estimates.
Let's believe a bulk of the issues on many things but go on another thread with it. People believe alot of things without "proof" but as long you look in the past & see the same thing over n over n over but naw gov this n that like there's aren't factions & corruption but naw. Like i said, move it on.
And this is the problem right here. We ARE seeing the same things over and over, which is why quite a few residents of Baltimore's hoods say it's not all them doing the killing. I guess it's much easier to believe that Baltimore has more trained killers who shoot in the head as if it's some secret that's the most deadly spot.

Personally I don’t put anything pass the government, here in Chicago freight trains are known to stop overnight in the roughest neighborhoods with a stockpile full of guns. That said there are some killers that roam the street, a local guy who went by Melly or 051 Melly was murdered at a party here in Chicago last weekend, since his death he’s been tied to quite a few murders and shootings. I’ve always said if the hood knows who committed the murders the police do too.

HOW does Baltimore still have so many killers in that city you would think after the last decade most of them would have wiped each other out. 300+ homicides a year the last several, 238 this year, 11 in the last 6 days.
It just doesn't make sense a city of 650k people thats not even that large area wise could have so many legit killers. Theres obviously an active war there how do they keep soldiers?
Theres got to be tons of savages walking around with 20+ murders under their belt

Where a life ends, a mission starts. Those who never caught a body are now more inclined to do so once their homie, friend, family, partner, or loved one is murdered. Age old "vicious cycle" story. The street militia recruits itself through unspoken dogma, no training or age requirement necessary; just a will to kill, access to guns, and a target. It's a war based on participation, not victory...
These guys are more likely to be killed by the streets than caught by law enforcement; and that's precisely the course of solution that the Baltimore police have concluded with. See how that's working out...
