Lowell MA- 1, 18 year old stabbed to death over a marijuana deal. Odd because marijuana is legal but only 9 shops have been opened after 2 months..if there was a full legal market upon opening in MA this might have never happpened.
Charlotte has 12 murders through 1/28, for a rate of 12/1.4...
Richmond 5/2.2
Sacramento 2/0.4
Raleigh 1/0.22
Almost through the first month of the year and there hasn't been a single murder in Norfolk or Virginia Beach yet...
That is awesome! I hope Richmond stays low.

Correction: Pittsburgh is now down to 2 for 2019 and up 2 more for 2018, ending at 58 instead of 56 (45 if you don't count the Tree of Life mass shooting).
-A fire that killed a man in our Carrick neighborhood in August 2018 was just recently ruled an arson, and, as such, that man's death is now considered a homicide. Initially this was reported as a 2019 homicide.
-A body found in a river in August 2018 has just been identified, and the manner of death has just been ruled a homicide.
So now Pittsburgh stands at 2 for 2019. Using the 2017 estimated city population of 302,407, we are currently at a per capita rate of 0.66/100,000, which is tied with Chicago, according to the above post.
