To anyone who says Atlanta because of hurricanes, That's pretty much a non-issue. 30,000 people are still moving to Houston each year, and flood control /management will keep real estate values very stable and profitable in the future.

So you’re saying another Harvey-level disaster will never happen ever again?
it could but it's rare. A Harvey-level disaster would pretty much be a major problem in most cities.
Well I’m just saying. The poster I referenced basically said flooding is a non-issue for Houston. A Harvey-level disaster would not occur in Atlanta due to a hurricane. I’m not sure a disaster of that magnitude would occur at all in Atlanta. Maybe historic flooding due to torrential rains.

I didn't see him mention floods being a non-issue but hurricanes. Hurricanes could happen clearly because it is on the coast and a threat is always there. That said, I would bet floods would be more of a problem than hurricanes in Houston however most neighborhoods in the city do not flood from what I understand.
