Job Market: Arkansas

Things to Do: Hawaii
People (Are they kind, rude, etc): Arkansas
Food: Hawaii

Northern/NW Arkansas is wonderful. Very beautiful and livable. I wouldn't be interested in the other parts of the states.

Hawaii is a great place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. Its geographical isolation and a sky-high cost of living would be misery to me.

My pick: Arkansas

Obviously Arkansas. I love vacationing in Hawaii though!

Arkansas for me. Hawaii would be way too isolated for me.

Arkansas is more isolated than Hawaii.

Little Rock doesn't have direct flight to big cities like NYC and Los Angeles. Honolulu does.

Hawaii for most of these categories but I couldn’t live in such an isolated place. So I’d reluctantly choose Arkansas.

Arkansas hands down, specifically NW AR. Great cost of living, healthy economy, great people, 4-seasons, and pretty scenery. I love visiting Hawaii, but I absolutely couldn't live there. WAY too remote. Very high cost of living. Pretty much no variety of seasons.

As beautiful as Hawaii is, I think after about a year or so of living there, I would come to feel literally "stuck" in Hawaii that turns into a severe case of claustrophobia and gets increasingly worse with each passing day. The island is so small in area you can't really go anywhere else. Does any island even have a hundred mile radius? I like the luxury of driving to the next state on nothing more than a whim. I like knowing that if I want to drive 500 miles from where I live in one day, I am able to do that. I wouldn't like knowing that I can't drive much further than 50 miles from where I live until I run out of land.
