Lol at the White Sox being behind the Cardinals in their own state
It's really unsurprising given that the STL metro area spans both MO and IL. There are tons of Cardinals fans in central and southern Illinois, and the Cardinals have been historically far more successful than the White Sox. I mean, heck, the Cardinal is even the state bird of Illinois...not Missouri.
I assume the Mariners by a large margin for Alaska.
Im going to omit Alaska until I find better data. Maybe I will also throw in a survey somewhere..but NYT Says Yankees and Red Sox at 20% each... however, ticket sales say Mariners at 35% ... and then a few more published data sites like Vivid Seats and Fandom put Dodgers close to being out front or even put Mariners >50%....
I skipped Alaska for a reason. Its really a tough one to calculate.
CT was the easiest, since Quinnipiac publishes polls... I cross reference with ticket seats and two more sources and I get very reliable similar data. Its almost always 38-43% Sox and 40-48% Yankees.

You realize St Louis is right across the river from Illinois, and basically all of southern and central IL is Cards country? The Cards might as well be an Illinois team. That isn't surprising in the slightest. The Cards are also easily one of the most iconic franchises in all the MLB, and have a massive regional reach. Insane seeing how small the St Louis market is. They're almost like the Green Bay Packers of baseball; they play in a small city, but are one of the most popular teams in the sport.
People not from here often forget that Illinois is a pretty big state.... and it doesn't only consist of Chicago.

Let’s not forget that for years, the Braves were on TBS, and the Cubs were on WGN. Because of that, the Braves and the Cubs had a national following, not necessarily quite on the level of the Yankees, but a national following, nevertheless!!
TBH I rarely see Yankees fans in Maryland. I think I see more Red Sox, Phillies, Braves and Cardinals fans than I see Yankees fans. The Nationals are definitely gaining on the O's even in areas close to Baltimore.
