These are mostly updated within the last week. Still not a number for Houston minus what they had in January. Philadelphia now has almost the same number of total homicides as Chicago, but with 1.1-1.2 million less residents. Colorado Springs has had a recent surge of homicides for some reason.

It probably still is safe in the areas you were in. I mean even when Chicago had that big increase back in 2016, a lot of the increase was in the neighborhoods that already had a lot of homicides. Outside of that, there was a small increase but not huge. I am assuming Philadelphia would be similar.
