I don't know what Houston is right now but they officially had 49 homicides through the end of February. I'm guessing they're at around 70 right now (which would make them similar to Dallas in homicide rate).

I'm pretty sure San Diego is @ 9 & Seattle is still @ 7.
Through 3/27, Chicago officially had 95 homicides. Here is a look at the regions of the city by homicides, population, and rate. The definitions are from Wikipedia. I'm going to make 1 modification though - I'm moving Englewood into South Side from Southwest Side.
- South Side: 286,622 people | 21 homicides | 7.33 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Baton Rouge, LA
- West Side: 475,214 people | 33 homicides | 6.94 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Detroit
- Far Southeast Side: 218,535 people | 14 homicides | 6.41 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Columbus, GA
- Far Southwest Side: 184,202 people | 8 homicides | 4.34 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Louisville
- Southwest Side: 370,618 people | 12 homicides | 3.46 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Albuquerque
- Northwest Side: 280,662 people | 3 homicides | 1.07 per 100k | Rate same to current of Seattle
- Downtown: 151,985 people | 1 homicide | 0.66 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Toronto and Vancouver
- Far North Side: 480,600 people | 2 homicides | 0.42 per 100k | Rate similar to current of San Diego and Oahu (Hawaii)
- North Side: 316,547 people | 1 homicide | 0.32 per 100k | Rate same to current of Calgary and similar to San Diego
Bigger regions combined;
* West Side: 475,214 people | 33 homicides | 6.94 per 100k | Rate similar to current of Detroit
* All South Side total: 1,036,185 people | 55 homicides | 5.31 per 100K | Rate similar (slightly lower) than current of Washington DC
* Downtown+North Side total: 1,229,794 people | 7 homicides | 0.57 per 100K | Rate similar to current of Toronto and Vancouver
2) San Diego is not at 9 but they're actually at 7. There were 2 I missed (#4 and #5 below). There are homicides on this page from 2019 FYI - if you read each PDF. Furthermore, not every PDF talking about homicide is 1 individual case. For example the article on 3/24 about a homicide in San Ysidro is talking about the same homicide from 3/19/2020 in San Ysidro.
The following are the homicides in San Diego this year from that page:
1. 1/15/2020: Homicide in Southcrest Neighborhood
2. 1/21/2020: Suspicious Death in Core Columbia
3. 2/8/2020: Homicide in Southcrest Neighborhood
4. 2/24/2020: Victim ID'd in Mountain View Homicide
5. 3/19/2020: Victim ID'd in Lincoln Park Homicide
6. 3/19/2020: Homicide in San Ysidro
7. 3/20/2020: Homicide in Otay Mesa West

Crazy how NYC has fewer Murders than Philly, Houston, & Chicago, (Even though it's a bigger City than all of their Population's combined together), I hope someday that these Cities can become as safe as NYC is, the rest of the US could learn from their example IMO.

& kk gotcha, Seattle is @ 8 now, either way not that bad for a US City IMO.
Oh Ok, 7 or 9, either way good for them! Ah "America's Finest City",
glad it's not that bad out there, also ur right, the San Diego page is tough to read
I did notice that about the 2019 ones, I just assumed it was 9 because like u said sometimes
they talk about the same homicide twice because sometimes they didn't ID it the 1st time.
Haha lol nice!
Speaking on the Subject of Crime anyways, I think it's nice
& all that u guys do Inner Cities, but I'm also somewhat interested in seeing
what the Suburbs r like as well, Boston I think is the only one I know the Suburban Total's,
(As u guy's usually do Regular Massachusetts Updates minus Boston).
Like Greater Boston is @ 17 I think now because of 3 Homicides in Lynn Massachusetts & 2 in Lawrence Massachusetts
but I'm kinda curious to know some of the totals for the other/ bigger US Cities as well,
all I have is Data so far from 2016, are their any more up to date ones?
