Supposedly Nashville doesn't have any diversity but it is the one with four black colleges and universities while Charlotte has none. I believe that's the most of any city in the country. Go figure.

That doesn't make it more diverse than Charlotte.
Johnson C. Smith is a HBCU in Charlotte.
Charlotte has been one of the most sought after cities for young Black professionals for a while now. Nashvilles Black population is growing slower at this time.

I don't recall anyone saying Nashville doesn't have any diversity.
Charlotte has one HBCU in the city proper (Johnson C. Smith University) and an additional three in the surrounding metro area (Clinton, Barber-Scotia, Livingstone).
Atlanta has the most HBCUs of any city in the country with six but I do believe Nashville is right behind it with its four.
Nashville guys, you are literally becoming the worst homers of all CD.
I first visited Nashville like a few years, it took me by surprise. Probably one of the best downtowns in the south vibrancy-wise, but this incessant need to elevate it on all metrics above Charlotte and Austin is a bit much.
Nashville, like Charlotte 485 mentioned (I never agree with him lol), is 25% percent smaller Charlotte, it just seems like the larger and more well-rounded metro.

What does population have to do with anything? Nashville competes with or exceeds Charlotte in the categories the original OP presented.
The problem with a city like Nashville is once you get off Broadway, is there any other interesting urban neighborhoods to walk around and explore? Almost feels like a one-trick pony...you got a touristy multi-block thoroughfare, then after that...?

Here's the main non touristy neighborhoods for Nashville that are walkable.
LOL, The Gulch and 12 South are packed with tourists. After all, it's where The Wings mural and the original "I Believe in Nashville" mural are located. The only one of these neighborhoods that I rarely see tourists in is Sylvan Park (which also explains why it's my favorite neighborhood).
