Oh Boston winters hands down. Generally I find them a little mild though, so more wet than I'd like (more slush, less snow) and they aren't that cold, I never needed even a special coat for them, just some layers (now Madison WI (there were weeks of -20 windchill non stop) and Burlington VT were different stories). Vegas? Forget about it. Once its above 80 for a couple of days I'm check out.
A coastal location shields Boston from the truly wicked awful cold that is felt, for example, in the Midwest. But it probably just comes down to whether you like it hot or cold.

winters in Boston are still bone-chillingly cold though. And windy.

Not a fan of either but I voted for Boston winters...I never lived there but spent 4 years of college in upstate NY so I know what cold and snow are. I live in Miami and I know what heat is, though at least we get breezes from the ocean and/or bay along with a passing afternoon thunderstorm that cool things down.....if I were in Boston I would do a couple of shots at night during the winter and pretend I’m in Miami; if I did that in Vegas it would accelerate the onset of a painful dehydration headache.
Boston, although I'm a cold weather fan. You can always layer-up in the winter, but you can only de-layer so much in the hot summer before you get into legal trouble...
To anyone who’s lived in the upper midwest, Boston would seem pretty tame.
This. Boston gets really cold maybe 2-5 days in an average winter. The Midwest gets colder and the lake-effect areas like Buffalo and Erie get more snow.
Looking at the next 2 weeks: this Thursday will be coldest with a high of 35F and low of 26F.
