I feel like murder rates can be misleading in how dangerous a city is. For example Dallas has a higher murder rate than Los Angeles but i don't know anyone who has lived in the hood of both that feels like Dallas is more dangerous. Dallas has some hoods for sure but there isn't alot of cases is multiple people being killed in one drive by, two gangs going back and forth resulting in several deaths over a few weeks, little kids killing adult gang members etc in Dallas like there is in LA.

That seems low for Cincy. What was it this time last year?
Meanwhile Atlanta seems to have one almost daily. Last time I checked it was in the 30's as of the end of March. I just hope it doesn't exceed last years total.
Cincinnati is at 14 now.
On 3/27 it was at 12 and on 3/27/2020 it was only at 13 before it broke a record and finished at 92.
We'll see how the warmer weather months fare for the city this year but I don't think it will be as extreme as last year.

I get that. But the thing with Dallas is soon as you leave out of the city limits hoods are pretty much non existent in Dallas County. LA county isn't like that. There's no equivalent to a Compton or long Beach or even Inglewood in Dallas County suburbs

Dallas is just more dangerous than LA or Long Beach(which is around the same crime rates of LA overall). Its not even close. The worst parts of LA can still be worse than the worse parts of Dallas, since there are so many safe areas to balance it out. You're right that LA gets helped by the fact that some of the worse hoods are in separate cities (Compton, San Bernadino), but even if you factored them in that still wouldn't be enough to make it worse than Dallas.

What does that have to do with anything? Stats are Los Angeles vs Dallas, not counties.
Murders are up 24% this year in NYC compared to 2020. Today there was a triple homicide - suicide. Man shoots and kills his girlfriend and her 2 daughters dead and then Mills himself.
