Yes, there was good progress on crime up that stalled out in the late 2010's, even before the pandemic sent things upward last year. There are probably lots of reasons behind it that I'm sure criminologists are looking at it.

If so, Houston is headed for a repeat of last year which brought in over 400 homicides. The trends for Houston and Philadelphia are not good.

If I was the mayor of these cities, I would be setting up a consortium between them to get to the root of the increase in this gun violence.

It is not specific to just one city, which means that it is something larger and needs to be addressed and resolved.

I think covid has affected peoples mental health more than one would suspect overall and it has led to a whole mess.
