I’m sure there are a few more but one thing is for sure, people are quick to kill these days. People have some serious issues they need to deal with.
Portsmouth now at 32 - (34/100k) after a 17 y/o boy and a 46 y/o woman were killed the past few days. About in line with last year. Although the city has yet to crack the record set in 1992 with 36 murders, the murder rate was the same due to population decline. The consecutive years with 30+ murders eerily reflects the trend of the early 90's.

I was looking at this for Des Moines. It said there were 33 last year but according to des Moines they had 21.
Also minneapolis and St. Paul are off. Not sure who to go by
Here's the direct local news report of Philly's 500th homicide, tying the ''crack era'' high in 1990 (the shooting starts at about :35) and watch the husband casually walk away. What a sight to see going into the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend.
The number of black women killed in 2021 Philly, as well as minors, is disturbing:
Suburban Philly, in Norristown, PA, a 25-year old eating Thanksgiving Dinner was struck and killed by a stray bullet shot through a window. 19 year old suspect was arguing with some other people outside and near the victim's home about missing alcohol from earlier in the day...victim had nothing to do with any of it, totally removed and unrelated to this nonsense...killed while celebrating Thanksgiving with his family...smh.
