Not true. El Paso has had an avg homicide rate of 2 per 100k over the last 10 years, Windsor has been closer to 3 per 100k. San Diego has been around 2.5 per 100k.

That I didn't know. I thought Windsor only had about 1 or 2 per year, either from the previous year threads or from a Michael Moore documentary. I also saw that the population was only 200K (I thought it was larger than that) so having two homicides would be a rate of 1 per 100K (or six homicides would make it the rate of 3/100K like you mentioned).

Guess I need to update my tally sheet.

I use the WHIO news app for Dayton and the WLWT app for Cincinnati which is the only way I keep track.

Chicago- 292

Mass shooting in Englewood with 8 shot and 4 killed, early Tuesday. Three of the dead victims were female, one male. There was a house party going on late into the night and is believed to be related to the shooting.

Today a total of 6 killed on Tuesday thus far, including a man in the Near West side and a woman killed in Bronzeville.

Superintendent mentioned that Chicago has recovered more illegal guns than NYC and LA combined this year in a press conference concerning the mass shooting, yet it continues to have many more murders than those cities. It's hopeless.

Baltimore 147, someone shot and killed Sunday on 23rd St a couple blocks from the Inner Harbor. Rate of 25.5 per 100k now.

Will see what the Census says, but based on population estimates Baltimore is the rare city whose population decline accelerated in the 2010s.
