Support this man, Collin Knight, if you ever come to Boston, 'Live Like a Local' tours of Roxbury Jamaica Plain and Dorchester (sadly no Roslindale Hyde Park or Mattapan). Real friendly guy with great reviews.
Does he do this alone or does he have a team/people helping him as well?

It isn't perfect, but it is tough to beat a metro with a black median household income well into the $60,000's, one of the most integrated metros in the top 100 in population, has in recent history the smallest black/white per capita income gap for top 100 metros with a substantial black population, has government representation, access to employment in the adjacent NYC metro via commuter rail, has walkability within its cities and villages, has communities that are culturally diverse where the black median household income is the highest out of all groups in recent history and so on. That is tough to beat nd dare I say may be one of the better metro areas for black folks anywhere in the country. It isn't perfect(i.e.-Newburgh has a "rep" in parts of that small city. Poughkeepsie to a lesser degree and public schools are suspect.), but it has a lot going for it.

Also, if you want an area that is relatively affordable with some very urban neighborhoods, the Albany-Schenectady-Troy metro has a range of housing from rowhouses to big SFH's. This census tract: https://censusreporter.org/profiles/...-14-albany-ny/ includes this area: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.6542...7i16384!8i8192

https://centersquarealbany.com/
https://www.albany.com/neighborhoods/center-square/

A block group in that area: https://censusreporter.org/profiles/...p-1-albany-ny/
A street view: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.6519...7i16384!8i8192

An area of Troy: https://censusreporter.org/profiles/...rensselaer-ny/
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7264...2!9m2!1b1!2i37

Nearby: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7238...6!9m2!1b1!2i37
https://censusreporter.org/profiles/...rensselaer-ny/
An little bit older source(2010-2014): Census Block Group 040800-2 in Rensselaer County, New York
Census Block Group 040800-2 in Rensselaer County, New York Income and Careers

So, that could be an area to look into if you want a very urban neighborhood with a visible black middle class in parts. If you want suburban there, Colonie (inc. Menands) would be a good choice.

Something in between like the General Electric Realty Plot in Schenectady would be good if you want an old money neighborhood(watch property taxes though): https://www.google.com/maps/@42.8158...2!9m2!1b1!2i37
https://censusreporter.org/profiles/...chenectady-ny/
Census Block Group 033400-1 in Schenectady County, New York

So, there is a range of options.
A couple of smaller places in this metro that could appeal to some families, Highland Falls: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.3701...7i13312!8i6656

Superintendent of schools: https://www.recordonline.com/news/20...superintendent

There are some other more suburban communities that may appeal to families as well.

Just to add in terms of the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown area, hopefully there will be updated information soon, but Orange County had a black median household income of $66,012 and Dutchess County had a black median household income of $61,222 according to 2019 US Census 1 year estimates. This means that it is likely the only metro in the Northeast, if not country, outside of maybe the DC metro that has a black median household income around the overall national figure($65,712) and at least near the national black percentage(the metro is about 11-13% black).

Interesting...I'm wondering if he was there for some engagement or just as a getaway spot.

Think its just a getaway she didn't mention a crowd, I dont see any event there he would've been at this weekend. Nothing on his socials.

On the flip side, a Boston-born friend of mine in Atlanta had his Jeep spray-painted with the Nword this weekend apparently its going around... Portland seems to have been the more hospitbale destination this weekend.
