I love DC but not NOVA (Outside Arlington and Alexandria). Way too bland for me.

For me? Seattle. Its not particularly close either.

To be fair.

NOVA and NNJ are similar for the fact that they both border a major city adjacent to them, but not directly located within them.

People from New Jersey do not claim NYC as their own, but as their neighbor. The same should be said for NOVA and DC.

That is my take.

Both regions are unique in that they are high wage and moderate cost. I think only Austin, Texas might compete with them in that category.

I'd pick Seattle for the better natural setting and more interesting culture.

I meant it in a way that I'd prefer an actual major city to be close to rather than Tacoma.
