As with all such lists, change the arbitrary criteria and you'll end up with entirely different results.

I don't agree with the metrics, but the more fundamental issue is the assumption that these outcomes are caused by state of residence and not merely correlated.

But for the rest of us, we need real rankings. Good school systems, good amount of diversity, strong economy, high wages, opportunity to move up, healthcare asseibility, etc...

Basically, if you think sprawly low wage Fayetteville NC and Gastonia provide a better QOL and standard of living than Minneapolis, Seattle, Boston (All states that have metros in top 5), then if the ANTIFA comment didnt ruin your credibility, that did. Mildly dissapointed March2, liked your posts until then.
Culture wars politics is a distraction mostly . Culture is rotten in some ways but the corporate media people have no interest in improving it. Rioters won't change anything of substance. FOX news doesn't want the rioters to go away because they make money from them. It's like an elaborate role playing game and the danger is when people forget it was all make-believe in the first place.

The cultural problems imo boils down to the fact that we moved away from religion as a society (as a species?) and have nothing good enough to replace it. Ideology is not an adequte substitute.

What moves money is business climate and access to talent. Coronavirus normalizing WFH will accelerate some preexisting trends and could change up the old models too
