It reminds me of a bigger Albuquerque. Both historically Mexican cities with large American born Mexican populations, but smaller foreign born Mexican populations.

It seems like a hybrid of ABQ and Phoenix - has the Hispanic cultural heritage and unique local customs much like Albuquerque, and the sunbelt-style growth resembling Phoenix.

And a little bit of Fort Worth sprinkled on top.
