They are? One is solidly Mid Atlantic and one is solidly New England in feel/asthetic.

Newark and Bridgeport are not even that similar.

What about the people though? People from Bridgeport don't really have a New England persona. They feel way more similar to Newark to me. I do agree on the aesthetic though.

They don't? I don't think I have any friends from Bridgeport proper, but I do know some people from its suburbs. They always struck me as New Englanders as much as the people I grew up around.

Can you be more specific about how Bridgeport people act that makes them less New England-y? Are they super passive aggressive or something?

People from the Bridgeport area (and some, including Bridgeport..) have that borderline pompous classist attitude. A little snobby, a little arrogant, a lot of vineyard vines and Sperry's.

Of course people from inner city Bridgeport have that persona you find similar to 'Newark'. Both are inner cities and would also have similar attitudes/persona as someone in Worcester or Providence.

I mean is someone's persona from Bridgeport not more similar to someone from Providence or Springfield over Newark? To me, the whole 2 [people ive ever met from Bridgeport act more similar to someone from Providence than Newark.
