3 more people fatally shot yesterday in HR. That's 8 people shot dead since Thursday.

• This one is a workplace shooting. One man was shot dead inside Howmet Aerospace overnight in Hampton, a little past 12am. Brings their total to 13.

• 2 people were found dead after reports of bullet holes inside of an apartment building in Chesapeake yesterday. Brings their total to 12.

Chicago wants to be compared to New York, LA, Boston, San Francisco, etc. when it comes to all kinds of metrics. But when someone points out Chicago's comparatively very high murder rate relative to virtually every other major US city and suddenly it's, "well at least we aren't Memphis or Jackson!!" Yes, Chicago, at least you are not Jackson or Memphis, well done.

I was not picking on Chicago. I know the recent media campaign especially with conservatives gets old and tiring. Let me pick on St. Louis? I get tired of that one too. Let's pick on Anchorage or Springfield MO. They both have high violent crime rates at the metro level and almost never ever gets mentioned.

Anchorage and Memphis are huge. It’s possible to live your entire life without encountering any type of crime. Small cities like St Louis and Gary your chances of being a victim are much higher.

You are wrong with that one. I live in St. Louis and have never been a victim of violent crime. Most people living here hasn't.

Where did I say you will be subjected to crime? I said your chances are higher….

I know people in the heart of Kensington that never been victims of crime, that doesn’t mean it’s safe or a desirable area to live.

Petersburg had a rate of 79 in 2020. Do you know the reason behind the murders? Is it gang/drug related?
Petersburg never struck me as that type of place so i'm guessing the crime surge is very recent.
