Sad bc the city itself actually has some nice architecture and old school charm.

Anyway, another homicide yesterday bringing the total to 199. The 200th homicide is a matter of time. .
11 people got shot yesterday and at least 3 died. I believe that makes the total 202 once the homicide page gets updated.

Pittsburgh is now at 41 after last night's shooting in our violence-plagued Homewood neighborhood.

Sigh...sunny weather (even though it's also hot) does mean more homicides.

It's still at 202 last I checked...counting down to 300 I guess .

MD will be issuing carry permits, so hopefully it'll deter crime. Less innocent people will be harmed at least.

Most of the homicides at least in Baltimore City are not exactly random, though...Out of the 200+ homicides so far this year there are maybe 10 that are things like robbery-related.

Plus easy access to guns haven't exactly help deter crimes in places like Jackson MS or NOLA...

Chicago- 371 (366 as of 7/24)

This July has seen a significant improvement compared to the last two years. 61 is still too many, but a sign the violence is on the decline. Overall, murders are -15% and shootings -19% from 2021.
