Another two for Montreal, bringing the city to 17 homicides for the year (+1 from 2021). Usually we're at around 9-12 by this time of year, but yeah... dark times for the city.

Pros and cons of course, but yeah 17 is high considering prior to covid, the city was averaging 22-26 homicides a year. A lot of people are on edge with the rising gun crimes and violence (even though it is all gang related).

Harrisburg is at 13 as well. They've both been pretty bad lately. Fortunately it didn't seep into Lancaster.
