Pennsylvania in general has been having a violent year for some reason.

Philly is currently even seeing more murders than what it had this time last year.

I actually think Houston slowed down this year from earlier this year. But it's still having a tough year.

The man responsible for these two killings + 1 in Laval in the past 24H was shot dead by police this morning (good). In an often never seen thing in Montreal, all targets were random people, not gang related.

There has been a huge influx of guns coming into the country from the U.S, but the lack of resources to stop them has lead to an uptick of gun violence (add mental health issues from the pandemic and severe lockdowns).

Earlier this year it was showing improvement, like Chicago. If I remember correctly it was closing the gap during the summer months.

I remember in the earlier months of this year Houston had a huge lead over last year, but looks like it's closed the gap and within single digits (numbers and percentage) if not lower than last year now.

Pittsburgh too. Several shootings recently sent stray bullets whizzing into vehicles and homes within two blocks of me.
