MTL now at 13, another domestic dispute where the son had a psychotic episode and stabbed his family/security guard.

During the covid years, domestic violence + gang related incidents have increased dramatically.

Universal Hub still has Boston at 13. Where do you get 14?

Had this same exchange on page 128, and it was never clarified. I think we may be 1 too high for Boston on this thread.

Atlanta is at 74 as of 6/18, compared to 62 the same date last year (up 19%) and at least 3 since then. 2 on Saturday and 1 yesterday by a customer not getting mayo on his sandwich.

I just can't believe this awful year is still not even halfway over yet. It's terrible in many ways unrelated to this thread, but for my city's homicide rates it's one of them, especially as other cities like NYC, Chicago, and Philly are having better years so now there's no excuse for it.

DC up to 104 after 4 more homicides over the weekend. Way up from 86 (up to 6/26) last year.

https://mpdc.dc.gov/page/district-crime-data-glance

Not to be outdone, Baltimore City proper is up to 175 (If my math is correct...it's 173 plus 2 at the Frankford Center last night), 37 homicides just this month.

At least it's not NOLA...total warzone this year.
