Shreveport just saw it’s first homicide in two months, even though it’s unfortunate the streak ended the fact that a city like Shreveport went 2 months without a homicide is quite impressive.

New Orleans is at 205 per an article I just read. Not a city I normally follow but from what I read it looks like they are having a horrible year.

New Orleans is leading the pack right now by a wide margin.

It’s rate is about ~30-40% higher than St. Louis & Baltimore.

Those New Orleans figures aren't totally reflective of criminal homicides.

New Orleans - 195

Chicago- 467

A very typical past weekend for a holiday, with 11 killed and 55 shot in total. From 9/4, there were 463 murders, compared to 545 same time last year, a 15% decrease. Likewise, there have been 2,411 shooting victims as of Sunday, compared to 2,998 last year, a 20% decrease.
