Yes I stated this in the first post. I am assuming that Boston is Boston and immediate surroundings but I'm not sure.

So I looked up Boston on Yardi Matrix, and based on this pdf, it looks like a huge part of their urban and suburban core is included if this is also their area for office reports.

Not to dispute this because you might have compiled this list yourself, but the greater center city area of Philadelphia has well over a million sq ft of office space under construction none the less the whole city or region.

I only point it out because often in the philadelphia related threads on the city vs. city, responses end up being like 'well Philly is old and xyz has a lot more going on'. Which is true compared to the super star cities, but we hold our own. Especially when you start narrowing the numbers down to a sq ft per mile basis. Take that Phoenix! Philly is still the true 5th largest city!

Austin price per sqft explains why there are multiple 700' office towers are about to start construction. (In addition to several mixed use towers).

CoStar has Philadelphia at 2,360,834 sf of office construction underway as of today. Their subarea is different from others' of course. For example Trenton is separate, not that they're building anything.

My CoStar subscription just went full US/Can. Look out folks.

Yardi Matrix: Office Sales Price Per Sq Ft, 2021
Manhattan $1,253
Brooklyn $661
San Francisco $656
Seattle $572
Bay Area $516
San Diego $455
Austin $441
Los Angeles $426
Boston $404
Charlotte $358
Miami $295
Washington DC $287
Nashville $259
Dallas $245
Phoenix $236
Portland $226
Atlanta $216
Chicago $184
Philadelphia $177
Tampa $177
Houston $172
New Jersey $169
Orlando $159
Twin Cities $153

I hope this number continues to fall a bit more to make residential conversions in downtown DC even more valuable. Another $30 would explode the residential conversion market downtown. There are a lot of conversions happening, but another $30 drop would really be the push office owners need.

#Heightlimitproblems

smh…

There seems to be a story behind each city on this list.
