Baltimore at 89 (86*). Somewhat slow week with only 2 homicides in a week after having 1-2 daily in the middle of the month. I guess the cooler weather does drop the homicide number?

Or just lucky...

(Yes...I know it's Fox Baltimore and their doomsday headline).

Reading through the last few pages, I was curious about Memphis.

https://www.actionnews5.com/2023/03/...s-so-far-2023/

WOW. Memphis seems to be getting even more deadly and violent this year. With just almost 4 months passed, and that data was just through March!

90 homicides so far through March 2023.

What is going on in that city!?

Make that 19 for Portsmouth. A 66 y/o man just died from his injuries after a double shooting last night.

Atlanta is at 34 as of 4/22, and the gap has narrowed to 41% lower than the same time last year when it was at 58. Violent crimes overall are down 25%, which the APD classifies as homicides, rapes, and aggravated assault. However property crimes are up, especially motor vehicle theft is up just over 50%, bringing the overall crime up 3%.

Too many guns, gangs and drug heads. Poverty rate is high with lack of upward mobility.
